Here it is! The official music video for “Sierra Leone” by Goodshirt. Special thanks to Tim + Ana for being such dope teammates!
"Goodshirt enlisted New York animation company Circle Line Projects, the cooperative of Ana Mouyis, Zachary Zezima and kiwi spatial artist, Tim Brown to make the music video, giving them total creative license. Inspired by the song and by the works of Len Lye, the creators combined different media such as live-action footage on green screen, hand painted textures and imagery, video, digital animation and animation scratched into 35mm film. The result is a beautiful psychedelic pastel mélange of mystical imagery as the protagonist, lost in the desert, battles with his sanity, descending into a trance-like unconscious state.”

Circle Line Projects update: Ana Mouyis and I spent the summer working with director Tim Brown on a new music video for the NZ band Goodshirt! With a really layered mix of live-action and animation, it features one man’s treacherous journey through an African desert on his way home to the forests of Sierra Leone. We’ll be releasing the full video in a few weeks, but for now, here’s a sneak peek!
lil drawings for a lil something (coming soon).
My first short film!
Based on a true story, CRUISING follows a young man through an extrovert’s dream and an introvert’s nightmare; the chaotic and cacophonous world of forced-fun aboard an insular cruise ship. His initial inability to accept his environment drives him to suicidal fantasy, where he learns to cope with his stressors, discomfort and anxieties.
Kissing is kinda gross.

Here’s a fun project I just finished up! Every year for the CalArts Film/Video Showcase at REDCAT, a current student is asked to design and illustrate a promotional poster and all related printed materials. I was asked to do this year’s, and I decided it’d be a good opportunity to experiment with different ways of portraying animation in an un-animated and static way. In trying to stick with that idea, I landed on drawing the motion trails of a few characters as they move about and explore beautiful (and theatrical) Joshua Tree. Thanks Kelly, Tim and Matt for your likenesses, and I hope to see you all there for the Experimental Animation showcase on May 1st!
Hey there! I’m finishing up my first year short CRUISING this weekend, and it’ll hopefully be online by the summer. In the meantime I finally made a YouTube channel, so feel free to subscribe! Thanks guys, stay cool. ☮

This is how I walk.
Some of my animations will be shown alongside Ana Mouyis's at MIND’S EYE, an immersive art show created by Tim Brown on February 15th at Brooklyn Fire Proof! There will also be a performance by the great guys of O Paradiso, so I hope you can make it! Should be a unique experience.
Here are a few work-in-progress screenshots from my first year short CRUISING; a film about stress and coping with it aboard the high seas.
